The money shot!

Well I have been asked whether you could have a better picture of Kirstie for those of you that dunno who she is. So here you are. Taken this weekend at our friends Chester and Emily Rowe's wedding (courteousy of jo blundell-jones). Was a really great day down in good ol' Milton Keynes. Life continues to be an adventure. Just in the process of applying for further work following when my locuming contract comes to an end (end of september). Also will move house to just around the corner in a couple of weeks time. God is good and continues to suprise me with more blessings!

Um...well....kinda change of plan!!

Ok so i'm sorry, i've gone dark on my blog. At a time that you are all probably wanting updates and developments. Well it turns out i have some! God is taking me on a very different adventure than i thought i was going to go on. It is a very long story which starts about 4 years ago, but one that continues in God's perfect timing. The abridged version is I was with my folks with no visa for 5 weeks. God said are you willing to give up new zealand for me. I said; but i gave up sheffield, friends, job and family. He said are you willing to give up new zealand for me. Stubbornly i said yes, with that he brought me back to sheffield, gave me an amazing job locuming and a beautiful girlfriend (pictured above - if you hadn't worked it out). Been an interesting month. I am a very happy man. Moral of the story is God wants to give you the desires of your heart, and if you are willing to follow him even when you don't know where you are going he will bless you beyond belief! Proverbs 3 has been key for me this is verse 5 and 6:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight
I don't have the answers to many of the questions that are probably running through your mind at the moment. NZ people have been completely awesome and full of grace. NZ may be in the future at some point, but not now. I am simply trusting, and God is making my paths straight. He's true to his word. As my title says, the adventure continues....

Sorry but one more. This inpatient guy got .... well you'll see.

Concert for Diana - Natasha Bedingfield Performance

So this is where i was on sunday. Wembley is pretty awesome. If you look closely near the end you will see me and maybe others you will recognise. Natasha was good, but Rod was in another league. Helen nearly fainted when he did Maggie May! Great day out.

Visa Update

OK everyone strap yourselves in cause this is complecated, but i will try to make it as straight forward as possible. For those of you that don't want to read my ramble the basics are i haven't got my visa yet and need to change my application.

To the others of you thanks for staying with me. Basically my visa is in limbo, they haven't rejected or accepted it. I got a nice letter from the immigration services which was helpful. They want more information which i am gathering at the moment. They also suggested that i apply under a different category so i am exploring this option currently. In summary they will make a decision on the 4th July and i will know for certain.

If the answer is yes i will leave a coupleof weeks after, if it is no i will be here for another couple of months while my physiotherapy registration goes through.

I am feeling peaceful it all and just trusting God to show me the way from here. It is challenging being in limbo land. Though God is great and is providing for evrything. If you are a prayer then praying for more peace and direction would be awesome. If you are not keep sending those happy thoughts.

Thanks for all your love, prayers and support guys.

Another visitor

Its becoming more fun just to find random pictures of name sakes. I have had another visitor. Another sexy young man who came on saturday to visit me. Maybe Ben (Fuller) could like this in the future? He likes the big framed glasses!!!

Highlight of his time here was going to a horse show (believe it or not). We watched a young kid being lead over some jumps by her mother. She did a clear round and then fell off after the last jump. Ahhh. No, no sympathy from mum (and i quote) "that was your own stupid fault prancing around on the saddle, now come on, get back on" Brilliant!

Oh that and Ben digging a trench with the tractor!

The more this man to my left looks at me the more scared i am getting so i am gonna stop now!

I've had a visitor!

Over the past two days i have had a visit from a lovely handsome gentleman. Now unfortunately still not having a digital camera I was unable to take any pictures of our adventures. So instead i typed his name in on google images and this picture was the hit. Maybe it is what he will look like in a 'few' years time. Guesses on the comments page please. We had a great time just chillin' really. He passed his tractor's proficiency test, took a bike trek and then had a proper lads night in with pizza and TV. Oh and he wrote a song for my sister, tempted to post that too!!

Iran

Last night at church we had a visiting speaker from 222 ministries. Their vision is to see Iran transformed to bear the image of Christ. An amazing guy who opened my eyes to what God is doing in the middle east. Dunno bout you but whenever i think of the middle east i only think of terrorists and the war. Challenged me to think and pray into what is doing much more strategically. He said Iran is the window into the middle east and there is real openess and massive revival happening there.

We hear about it so much in the media, but we only hear what is said on terrorism and the war. I urge you to take a gander at their website so at least when you pray you can pray at bit more informed.

And this picture is just pretty clever, well done Kate Cooper, well done indeed!

The real reason for leaving Sheffield!!

It gives me great pleasure to announce to you that i have not had a child at all. For the more astute (clever word - Hugh will be pleased with me) among you, you will recognise this as Elijah Mansar. Taken at a wedding a while back, but doesn't he look cute (and Elijah looks pretty good too (mhaw haw haw - oh how we laughed!)

Sheffield is a beautiful place

Well i have created a blog to tell you all of my adventures. It has been one week since leaving Sheffield which was very strange. Many thanks to you all for a great send off. I have some amazing friends and feel very blessed.

This week i have been enjoying the beautiful weather and chilling out at home. This has mainly consisted of sleeping, playing guitar, playing with puppy and hanging with family. Has been a gooood week. Started off a little frustrating as there has been a hold up with my visa. Basically NZ immigration want more info on the church job so the church is sending me the relevant documents. When i post off (should be early this week) i will know in roughly a week. So i will keep you posted.

Meanwhile back to relaxing with a beer!
